Adventures in Waffle Land

SO today I go for my waffle, but the street was so busy I had to park a couple blocks into this neighborhood. I didnt even think to look at the street name or corner or any defining feature. I just went for the kill. The yummy waffle was calling my name... 15 min later, Im holding the damn waffle and wandering the mean streets of hippie town looking for my car. By the time I realize I can use the gps and retrace my steps, I found the car. :) right where I left it. I still dont know the name of the street... bastard, On the upside tho, I did see a gangster today! I was honking and waving and trying to throw up any gang sign I could remember, but I think I ended up just looking retarded. He was driving a Regal, for crying out loud, with blue metallic paint. Thats just a damn time warp right there! And you have to understand why this was a big deal for me.. Since I've been here, there have been nothing but hippies and hipsters and military rejects around. So hooray! for something new!

Fyi california: you cannot put pretty flashing blue lights on the side of the road in the middle of the night..newbies such as myself with automatically gravitate towards it. Which would be ok except theyre across the median across oncoming traffic. Thank you for your consideration ;)

Knowledge

So after stopping at damn near every rest stop and gas station along the way to los angeles, i would put away the gps.. After about an hour or so, i was wondering why it wasnt talking to me anymore and was getting nervous about being on the right road.."are you mad at me voice-lady? Did i do something to offend?"nothing....did you know that after everytime you turn it off, you must reselect your destination?? I do now ;)

Yay! Crossed into california about 30 mins ago ;) yes, im stopped at a rest stop just to text ;)

One for the road

Ok so only a couple days behind my leave date, but the car is packed and ready to go! Im actually starting to get more than a little nervous...more so because I have a gun in the car...EEK!! Lets hope I dont have to use it.. BUT I also have an expandable metal baton...lets hope I get to use that one!!! Dont worry little buddies, Ill take pictures if I get to be so fortunate :) Trying to get some sleep now, hoping to be out on the road by at least 3 am. My mind is a mess of soundtracks..: Im either singing the "On the road again, I cant wait to be on the road again", or the theme song to the Jefferson's...cuz Im MOVIN ON UPPPP, TO THE EASSSSTTT SSIIIIDE TO A DELUX APARTMENT IN THE SKKKKKYYYYYY!! Yeah, this is gonna be fun :)

(oh yeah, I have been watching all the scary movies about road trips and such.. You know, just brushing up on what NOT to do whilst out there :) And i practiced my ninja skills on the cat this morning.. I should be good :)
